Hi! My name is Garrett Colton and I am blessed to be in the role of the Campus Community Coordinator (CCC) for LCM! I was born in the Twin Cities and raised in Mahtomedi, MN. As a kid, I grew up going to camp at Clearwater Forest Camp and Retreat Center. As an adult, I worked there as a camp counselor for four summers, and as Interim Program Director for one summer. I studied psychology at the University of Wisconsin - Stout where I was an active member of the Lutheran Campus Ministry there, and graduated in 2022.
 
As the Campus Community Coordinator, I hope to build relationships with the students on campus. This will be done through meeting students for coffee, lunches, or dinners and getting to know their interests, hobbies, and their personal faith journeys. I will also be planning events on campus to help strengthen the sense of community, such as worships and Bible or book studies and also events such as movie nights or craft nights. The ministry will be focused on helping students recognize their God-given gifts and talents and equipping them as leaders in ministry on campus and beyond.
 
I hopes to create a space that is comforting and welcoming to all; a space where we feel comfortable sharing about our lives, our struggles, and talking about how God walks alongside all of us and a space where we can have fun!
